“I love the village cafe, never have i had a bad meal, never have staff been grumpy and the menu changes for the season. Their play area is amazing and my kids rate it as one of the best play areas at a food place in the Waikato. The big breakfasts (any season) and their bubble and squeak are amazing!!! not to mention they use really hot water when making your tea so it doesn’t go cold!! June 2021 “

“I stopped for breakfast on my way down to the King Country this week and was not disappointed. The food was excellent (indeed, it was so good I could have eaten breakfast twice over!), the coffee was very good, and the welcome was warm. A number of customers came in for coffee while I was there and it was abuzz with activity. I will definitely stop next time I am heading that way again.” April 2021
“I’ve been several times now, and each time the food and service have been excellent. Great options for vegans and vegetarians. Fresh, wholesome salads, which vary each time I go and they are generous portions. Very nice apple strudel too! Well priced. It’s a great spot for family outings, with playground and animals to keep children entertained.” April 2021

The first surprise was driving in and seeing the other little shops there, and then how big the cafe was and what it offered in outside areas. and for kids. Ordered from the cabinet and the chicken filo was excellent, and almost went for the Kumera pie – next time, Coffee was above average, service was good.
